BAE Systems Financial Research Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia

Review and prepare final agency recommendations for approval or denial of applications for licenses for personal, commercial, humanitarian, trade financing, travel, and other transactions. Confer with applicants and their attorneys in connection with their requests for licenses or other issues relating to compliance with statutes, regulations, and Executive Orders pertaining to OFAC licensing requirements. Provide licensing policy and regulatory information and advice, by telephone or letter, to financial institutions, members of the public, corporations, U.S. government agencies, and foreign government officials who submit inquiries. Prepare reports, briefings and memoranda for the Assistant Director for Licensing, the Director of OFAC, Treasury officials, and other government agencies regarding licensing-related international financial matters, blocked assets, and other factual and policy matters.

  • Review and process license requests for the United States Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)

  • Analyze and interpret United States economic sanctions policies and regulatory information

  • Confer with applicants in connection with requests

  • Provide licensing policy and other OFAC related information via oral or written communication to the public and intergovernmental organizations in connection with licensing requests

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills And Education

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year working experience with respect to foreign and regulatory policies and procedures for transactions related to personal, commercial, humanitarian, travel, financial, non-proliferation, international trade and/or investment programs

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of regulatory analysis

  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of basic computer skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Active clearance
