Summary: Responsible for performing all aspects of the logistics/transportation operation. This includes domestic shipments by LTL, TL, small package, air and overall order management. Job Description:
Coordinate daily shipments
Establish and coordinate schedule with carrier and tender shipments
100% accuracy in data entry of shipments in OTM
Track and trace all shipments
Update and maintain the Transportation Management System databases
Prepare and publish daily/weekly reports
Review performance trends
Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solution
Answer and resolve questions when needed
Confirm information with carriers
Responsible for cost containment of shipment and Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, select most cost effective method of delivery
Review lanes on all orders and select most appropriate mode of transportation
Other responsibilities include Carrier Management, including matrix reporting, verifying accuracy of invoices, bills of lading, shipping statements, and the achievement of key performance indicators
Daily Communication with customer on relevant issues and resolution
Perform review of Freight Bill Of Lading
Provide assistance to staff across divisions of the Transportation Department
Perform other duties as request or assigned
