Splunk Inside Sales Rep - Public Sector (Army) in McLean, Virginia

This position will be responsible for prospecting, lead generation and selling Splunk's award winning software - focus will be on the Army Customer. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling software or services and in building beneficial, lasting relationships with customers. This position will be selling Splunk's software and services via the phone, email and webex and supporting the field sales team.
Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!
2-3 years government sales experience
Outbound prospecting Lead generation by targeting key Federal Contracts and Contacts
Prior Experience with a SW vendor or a Federal Reseller
Qualify inbound and outbound leads
Schedule product demos for qualified customers
Understanding of client’s needs, and ability to communicate solution values of products and services
Meet exceed assigned revenue and MBO goals
Assist with Sales Operations and Back office Support for field sales (quotes, marketing campaigns, follow up)
Must be located in DC area
Understanding of Public Sector market
Bachelor's Degree requested but not required
