About the Agency

The United States Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM) is a field operating agency under the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management & Comptroller (ASA (FM&C;)) whose mission is to provide finance support and liaison to Army commands, component commands, direct reporting units, installations, and tactical units, as well as the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), on matters pertaining to the adequacy of finance policies, systems, and reporting requirements. USAFMCOM also performs Army-wide or Army-unique actions such as financial management unit technical training, electronic commerce, and classified finance and accounting oversight.This position is being announced using the USA Staffing Application Manager system. Duties
  • Determines requirements, establishes priorities, and certifies task completion work with the GFEBS systems integrator, Resource Services Washington and DFAS business process team during the implementation, sustainment, and post deployment of the GFEBS solution.
  • Assists in defining actual process operations and operational steps to be executed by users of the solutions.
  • Determines the impact of new business processes on existing organizational structures, recommends critical changes to optimize operations within new systems, as well as works policy changes associated with business process reengineering (BPR) activities.
  • Defines, documents, and manages the results of BPR efforts and recommends a course of action consistent with financial management policies, objectives and regulations.
  • Coordinates with senior leaders and support activities to provide expert advice and guidance to decision makers on business process reengineering initiatives.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11 ) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as experience contributing to the design, development, testing, supporting end users, and/or carrying out essential functions for the General Enterprise Business System GFEBS), SAP, or other relevant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Also, experience with SAP/ERP Help Desk operations with focus on effective prioritization and timely resolution of critical issues. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
